Excellent service and relaxed atmosphere in the lounge.
Could not keep the windows open during the night because of the noise of the traffic. Subsequently the hotel room didn't cool during the night. The other side of the Hotel seemed all right.

Reception spoke English well and were able to help with my requests. Full early Breakfast laid up and supplied at between 0500-0600 as per my business requirements. Restraunt Manager extremely helpful with those requests. Evening meal in first class and well staffed Restraunt, plus Hotel guests were given 10% discount. Excellent location, 300 yards from main Railway Station, opposition the Castle and near the main city centre. Very Good room, which included both cnn and bbc World on the tv. Clean and well maintained single room, with good equipment. As good standard as anywhere in Western Europe and excellent value at the Booked.net rate. Highly recommended if travelling to this part of Slovakia.
Not really, perhaps the provision of a kettle for tea/coffee making, as is normal practise in the uk. But can't be counted as a dislike, in probably among the very best Hotel I've used through Booked.net, in many European countries

I recently stayed at Hotel Polana in Zvolen for a few nights. As a tourist, I found the hotel's location to be strategically situated, allowing me to easily explore nearby attractions like Banska Stiavnica and Banska Bystrica. The staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with crisp white sheets that I appreciated. Additionally, the hotel provided convenient amenities like a hair dryer, kettle, and coffee/tea set in the room.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The hotel was top-notch with a cozy apartment room, comfortable bed, and a well-stocked mini bar. The staff at the reception were friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service. The location was convenient, with easy access to the railway station and town center. The breakfast options were great, including early morning choices for early risers.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

Restaurant in hotel is really good - excellent staff there. Rooms are comfortably designed. What made this trip wonderful was that there was an error on my bill - I didn't notice it until after it was paid and I left. By the time I was able to contact Hotel Polana, they had already fixed the error. Will certainly be back!
Design of bathroom - especially placement of toilet - is too cramped.

The meal in the hotel's restaurant was excellent ! Nice food, great taste, nice arrangement, professional service !
There was some noise from the other room, so the walls are a bit thin, i guess.

Great location for day trips and exploring the city. Walking distance to major tourist spots. Rooms were clean and tidy with comfortable beds. Friendly staff always willing to help.
Decor is outdated and in need of a revamp. the breakfast buffet was limited and had few options.

I had a great stay at this hotel. It's conveniently located near the train station and the town square. The staff was extra friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast, especially the option to have eggs cooked to order. The hotel was also very clean and had all the facilities I needed.
Can't think of anything.

This last one was probably the fourth time I was at Polana Hotel. It's conveniently located and easy to find for those who travel by car. Rooms are comfortable and neat and the restaurant is good to dine alone or with local businessmen. Next time I'll stay here again.

The hotel offered a good price for the New Year holiday. The location was perfect, opposite a beautiful castle and close to the train station. The room was cozy and warm, with a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The breakfast had very limited choices. The hotel's decor looked outdated and a bit shabby.

Right In the center below the castle. Breakfast was ok.
Rooms are rather old with broken furniture, bathroom seemed to be recently renovated, this way ok.

Me and my friend stayed at the Hotel Polana in Zvolen just one night on our way from Bratislava to Kosice via Zvolen. The whole hotel was great we arrived fairly late at 22.00 and we were delighted to see that the restaurant was still open and the food served was delicious. All the hotel staff were friendly, extremely helpful. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean and tidy. We had a twin room which was very spacious with very comfortable beds. We couldnt fault the hotel in anyway at all it was a delight to stay in and should we ever be in Zvolen again Hotel Polana would be the hotel we'd stay in
